Receive contents from dll file

I have a dll file that i want to get the content for and i cant because a prompt shows up and says CD/DVD creator requires to install software to open file of the following file type: application/x-msdownload type.
application/x-msdownload type is not supported.

A .dll, if we are on the same page is a Microsoft based dynamic link library and like a .exe won't function in Linux.

Some .exe programs can run in Linux with the aid of a program like Wine which is in the software-center , but I don't know about individual .dll files.
